Janet Harrison is a jewellery artist living and working in Vancouver, BC, Canada on Unceded Coast Salish territory. She was drawn to working with metal while attending a sculpture class through the Fine Arts Program at Langara College in 2012. Combining her desire to work in metal with her longstanding obsession for mineral and crystal specimens was a natural progression.
Harrison is a graduate of the Jewellery Art and Design and Gemmology programs at Vancouver Community College.
She was the recipient of the Craft Council of British Columbia Award for First Year Display (2014) and the Edgemont Village Jeweller Scholarship for Creative Ingenuity, Technical Excellence and Strong Presentation Skills (2015).
Harrison is currently focussing on a small collection of art pieces. Her inspiration comes from shape and form, the natural and the supernatural, the occult and the mundane. She is not currently taking on custom work or commissions.
